Getting a Library Card

Who can get a Minerva Public Library Card?

Persons residing, owning property, working, or attending school, in Ohio are eligible, with proper identification, to register for a library card.

How do I sign up?

Patrons may visit any service desk at the library.  At this time, the library does not have online library card registration.

  • A patron age 18 and over should present a valid photo ID with the patron's current and correct mailing address.  If the ID does not have the proper address, the patron may present a utility bill, bank mailing, or other business mail as proof of address.  Library staff may also mail the card application to the patron in order to verify the address.
  • A patron under age 18 may register for a library card, but must have the signature of his or her parent or guardian on the registration form; the signature will satisfy the library's ID requirement.
