Poetry Open Mic Night

Wednesday, November 15th at 7 P.M.

Calling new and seasoned poets! Perform original poems or read aloud published poems at the library’s Open Mic Night. Upon submission of a digital copy, all participants will receive a booklet that  includes original pieces read that night. Light refreshments will be provided.

Pre registration is preferred but not required
For ages 13 and up

2016 Summer Reading

Youth Services Reading Rewards have begun.  Come into the library any time this summer to receive a bag with an activity sheet, a reading rewards game grid*, and a program calendar.

*The game grids will have three levels: bronze, silver, and gold. Win prizes by turning in completed game grids.

Teen Anime Club

Teen Anime Club is this Saturday, February 13 from 2pm-4pm. In honor of Valentine’s Day, teens will be making and decorating chocolates. For the remainder of the program, teens will watch and discuss a Miyazaki movie with fellow Otaku. The program is for teens 13 years and older. No registration is required.

 

Music In Motion

Music in Motion is this Friday, February 12 at 10:30am. Karla Dennis will provide stories, music and more. The event is for toddlers 16 to 36 months old and their parents or caregivers. Registration is recommended as we have a limited supply of preschool instruments.

Bundle Up with a Book

When the weather outside is frightful, it's time to stay in and read.   The adult Winter Reading Club runs through February 29.   Read a book,listen to an audiobook, watch a DVD.  Fill out a review form and turn it in at the main desk.   Amaze your friends and perhaps win one of the fabulous weekly prizes.  This snowman knows what's going on, and you should too.  Bundle up with a book.

LEGO Day

Friday, January 15th 2:00-3:30pm

Minerva Public Library is hosting Lego Day, a Lego building activity for Kindergarten and up.  Parents are encouraged to attend.

Teen Anime Club

Our next Teen Anime Club meeting will be this Saturday, January 9th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
 
Douglas Laubacher, a local artist, will be coming by to teach the basics of drawing manga. Afterwards, we'll be watching anime.
