(May 31, 2012) The library is moving to a new online catalog over the next week along with the other 78 libraries that are members of the SEO library consortium. It's a big project to move the records for over 6.7 million items and over 700,000 library patrons from one system to another, and there will be some limits to our services during the next few days.
-
The library will be open its usual hours, and we will be able to check out library materials to you. Internet access in the library will not be affected by this project.
-
However, we can not check in things you might return between June 3 and June 7. Nothing is due from June 3-10 so we ask that you give the library materials an extended vacation at your house and not return them until they are due.
-
The online catalog will not be available from June 1-7 either at home or in the library. During this time, you will not be able to place holds on library materials.
-
However, library staff will be able to look up items for you and we will keep a list of holds on paper to enter in the catalog as soon as we can.
Thanks for your patience during this transition.
